The idyllic walk to the parish church leads passed the nativity scene where small works of art are presented. The live nativity scene is found in the center of Grossarl where life-sized figures and real animals can be visited. The torchlight walk on Friday is a great suggestion. The picturesque town of Huettschlag is found deeper into the valley.The herdsmen games in the city center are a must-see on Saturdays during advent. Just a bit further into the valley you will find the valley end. The wonderful natural landscape is the beginning of the Hohe Tauern National Park. Activities for all ages can be found at the Talwirt. The owners are also known for their elaborate wooden Krampus masks.
