Sledding & Winter Hiking in the Grossarl Valley
Hike through the cleared paths in the Grossarl valley mountains. After a short stop you can sled back down to the valley.
35 Kilometers of well-groomed slopes await you in the Grossarl valley. The nearly untouched paths are cleared and offer optimal conditions for winter hikes and sledding. You may choose from comfortable valley paths or make your way into the mountains. Once you've arrived at your destination you can have a cup of mulled wine or punch to warm up or try some regional goodies.
You can return to the valley by sled - a rapid and exciting trip. However, please take care of yourself because liability is not assumed by the track owners. You can descend the run safely in Grossarl, no traffic is allowed on the 2 kilometer long track. You can rent sleds at any sport shop. The taxi service can give you a lift to the top so you can avoid the hike up the mountain. Our tip: Stop at the Christmas market in Grossarl after your sledding trip for a cup of mulled wine or punch!
